Sheila Saunders and Darla Heivly Attend GCM 2006 Annual Conference

The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM) has announced that Sheila L. Saunders, M.S., CMC and Darla Heivly, M.S., CMC of Senior Solutions, Inc. in Allentown, PA have attended the GCM 2006 Annual Conference held in Newport Beach, CA, September 14-17, 2006.

Some of the highlights of the GCM 2006 Annual Conference, “Riding the Waves of Change”, included:

• Laura Mosqueda, M.D., presented the opening general session on the topic of “Elder Mistreatment: Empowerment, Protection and Vulnerability.:

• Donna R. Bashaw, CELA and Deborah MacArthur Repp, MPA, RN, presented a general session titled “Legal and Public Policy Update – What’s happening on the National Level That Impacts Your Practice:.

• Sessions on: “Medicare Part D: A Prescription for Advocacy,” “Beyond the Belongings: Successful Moving Strategies for Seniors,” “20 Common Nursing Home Problems and How to Resolve Them,” and more.
