Senior Solutions was founded in 1990 to meet the needs of older individuals and their families in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and surrounding areas. In 1992 a home care registry was established to better serve seniors needing help in the home and in 2014, Senior Solutions amended their homecare license so they may also hire, train and supervise their caregivers and provide RN-supervised care through a Home Care Agency. Also in October 2014, Senior Solutions opened a new office in Northampton County to better serve clients in Stroudsburg, the Slate Belt, Lower Saucon and Quakertown.
Lori graduated from Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1986. She was previously employed at Easton Hospital for 13 years before joining Senior Solutions in 1999. Lori has been a Certified Care Manager since 2007. Lori’s experience is not only in nursing, but also in utilization review, discharge planning, and case management. She holds the CMC certification and is an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association™ and its Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Lori has extensive experience in assessing seniors and guiding them with their healthcare options as well as serving as their advocate.
Patty graduated from the University of Delaware with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing in 1985. She was previously employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital and worked in Orthopedics and Cardiac Nursing. Patty joined Senior Solutions in 2000 performing assessments prior to becoming a care manager in 2005. She has been a Certified Care Manager since 2010. She is an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association™ and its Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Patty has extensive experience evaluating the situations of seniors and guiding them through the complex maze of healthcare options as well as serving as their advocate.
Louise graduated from Penn State University in 1982 with her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare, concentrating specifically in geriatrics. She has worked as a professional social worker at Pocono Medical Center and Pleasant Valley Manor Skilled Nursing facility. Additionally, Louise has management experience directing and coordinating geriatric care programs, including directing the YWCA Adult Day Service Center in Bethlehem and as a certified personal care home administrator at Country Meadows Retirement Community in Bethlehem. She is a Certified Case Manager through the Commission for Case Manager Certification. She is also an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association™ and its Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Louise joined Senior Solutions in 2015 as a Care Manager.
After working for years in the medical field, Sue moved into the field of social work, and obtained a Psychology degree from Liberty University in Virginia in 2009 and a masters of clinical social work from Temple University in 2013. Sue is currently licensed in Pennsylvania. Sue has a wide variety of education and experience regarding people of all ages, but specifically for aging clients and their families, in the areas of overall assessment of a client’s well-being, problems of aging, living with chronic illness, dementia, loneliness, grief counseling, adjustment counseling, advocacy, and care management. Sue has found that other factors such as domestic violence, sexual assault, mental and emotional illness, personality disorders and traits, and lifetime trauma in general can adversely affect an elderly person on a daily basis as well. Sue joined Senior Solutions in 2015 and is excited to be a part of their care team for clients of all ages who desire not only guidance through the healthcare maze, but who would also benefit from the resolution of mental and emotional issues.
Maureen has been with Senior Solutions since 2004 when she started as the Administrative Assistant to the two original founders of the company. She received her Associates Degree in Secretarial Sciences from Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. Maureen worked in New Jersey for several years before relocating to the Lehigh Valley. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant for several non-profit and healthcare organizations before coming to Senior Solutions. Throughout her tenure with Senior Solutions, she continues to provide administrative support to the Director and staff and greets all visitors to our Allentown location. In 2015, she became Office Manager for both the Allentown and Palmer offices.
Elizabeth started with Senior Solutions in January 2016. She graduated from Berkley College in 1992 and started a career in interior designing. After taking some time off from the business field to raise her family, she returned to the work force in the areas of banking and customer service. Her love of people has led her to Senior Solutions, where she brings not only her 20 years of customer service experience, but her enthusiasm and willingness to help others.
